Yet another (enthusiastic) TCAF report
Last week, the Pow Pow Press crew went on a road trip to Toronto to launch its first English books : For as Long as it Rains, Mile End, Vampire Cousins and Vile and Miserable. Luc rented a state-of-the-art futuristic minivan, which we loaded up with books; we took a team selfie and were on our way to TCAF 2015.
After drinking a beer (or two) at the hotel room, we went to the Pilot Tavern for our launch party – sponsored by the Bureau du Québec à Toronto. We had a great time, drank a few more beers and went to sleep… since we had to get up at 8AM the next morning, in order to set up our table at the Toronto Reference Library.
The following hours went by real fast, with non-stop book signing and friendly chats taking up most of our first day at the Toronto Comic Arts Festival. We finally had the chance to talk to some of the people who had backed us on Kickstarter; we can’t thank everyone here individually, but it certainly was a pleasure to meet all of you.
Altogether, we couldn’t have hoped for a better reception. We’d like to thank Andrew and Christopher at TCAF for welcoming us, everyone who came by to buy some books or just check them out as well as our friend Boulet… who helped us out when the time came to take down our table. Sort of.
We hope to see you all next year!
