The Montreal Comic Arts Festival has quickly become one of our favorite annual events : three days of fun (and, hopefully, sun) at Espace Lafontaine, right in the middle of Parc Lafontaine.
Some of this year’s guests include Jillian Tamaki, Joe Ollmann, Michel Rabagliati as well as Lewis Trondheim and Brigitte Findakly – who will both be present at the Pow Pow booth to sign copies of their excellent graphic novel Coquelicots d’Irak, which will be translated by Drawn & Quarterly later this year.
Pow Pow Press will be bringing along books in both French and English. Come and check out some of our brand new releases, such as Sophie Bédard‘s Almost Summer Vol. 1 and Gary, King of the Pickup Artists by Alexandre Simard and Luc Bossé – or just come and get your copy of Michel Hellman‘s Nunavik, which recently won a Bédélys Award!
Sophie Bédard, Samuel Cantin, Cathon, Julie Delporte, Francis Desharnais, Meags Fitzgerald, Alexandre Fontaine Rousseau, Michel Hellman, Alexandre Simard and François Vigneault will all be present at the Pow Pow booth at some point during the weekend. Be sure to come and say hi.
